When the world ends in 2012...
When the world ends in 2012, is that going to be midnight on Eastern Standard Time?  Or will John Cusack have to drive his limo across the crumbling state of California at a different time of day?

This Year I Resolve To...
1) I have about eight stories that I’ve started writing.  In 2010, I am going to finish two of them. 2) Instead of treating everyone I meet like some random asshole I want to punch in the face, I’m going to treat them as a potential new friend. I never make resolutions.  They’re lame and everyone always breaks them.  If I make one I intend to keep it.  Check back on December...

hey, fuck you →
alaskamiller: lauramenorah: - alaskamiller in reference to my friend zone post. I love that this post got buzz. Buzz that makes me look good or bad? I’ll take either. I could have further explained how I personally treat “friend zone guys” in the post, but if I did I figured it might not be relate-able (and reblog-worthy) so now I can clarify…If I know a guy has feelings for me and I only see...

WatchWatch
I saw this over at Warming Glow, though the video is from Live Leak.  It’s freaking amazing how much green screen stuff is used in basic shots of people walking around the streets on television and how much the quality of green screen work has improved.  If I said to you that Ugly Betty used Chroma Key you’d probably have the same reaction I did at first and say “huh?”

This is why some people hate bloggers. →
soupsoup: youmightfindyourself: soupsoup: Quote an excerpt, link to the rest, add your commentary. Don’t copy and paste the entire fucking article to your blog and then have the balls to serve Google ads alongside it. Even though I linked the article as I do all my linked articles by clicking on the title, I’ll continue to post the entire thing wholesale as I see fit. Even if you have to...

Jesus Wasn't Poor says Person That Derives... →
Why?  Why is there always someone who seems to derive so much enjoyment from taking the smallest parts of someone’s faith and picking it apart? Jesus wasn’t wealthy because he received gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, she says.  Look lady, I don’t take everything in the Bible literally, but I know how to read a story.  If a freakin’ angel appeared to you and told you...

A Christmas Story
Few Christmas traditions are as enduring as TBS airing 24 hours of A Christmas Story every year.  One such enduring tradition is the fact that on Christmas Eve at my grandmother’s house I put it on at 8pm and hide the remote as everyone else tries to change it.  I’m not sure why they try to change it.  I think they say “they’re tired of it.” I simply cannot tire of...

WatchWatch
This is the trailer for the new Repo Men. This film looks like it has a pretty interesting concept. And for the first half of the trailer, I think most people would agree. Unfortunately, as is the current trend in Hollywood, “subtlety is for fags,” right? Men want to see the whole damn movie in the trailer. So, of course this will ruin any semblance of mystery that may have...

James Cameron works harder than you.
Regardless of how you feel about any of James Cameron’s movies, or about the director himself who appears to be a bit of a blow-hard with a big ego, the bottom line from this story is that when James Cameron goes to work he is working harder than you do.  I know I often talk about people that work in show business like they’re some group of over privileged children playing make believe...
